11/30 Journal - Studying Shakespeare's Poems

According to Mr. Dahl’s information this afternoon, there would be an actor that performs the poems of Shakespeare next week. However, Mr. Dahl reminded us we would need to start digging out more knowledge about the poems of Shakespeare. Otherwise, it would be pointless for that actor to come and teach us. I only read Sonnet 18 and Sonnet 29 now. Nevertheless, these two fourteen lines poems can create a huge impression to me. Especially Sonnet 18, although the summer’s beauty fades, the lover’s beauty will not fade. This is the impression I got from reading this poem; it is gorgeous.

11/29 Journal - Basketball

It’s been quite a long time since the last time I played basketball. During the basketball class today, I remembered I used to play basketball really often when I was in middle school. Not only did I play in the school, but also there is a small park near my previous home. So, whenever I have time, I would grab m basketball and ride my bike to do some exercise. However, after I moved to my new house, there is no park around my new apartment. Yet, there is a gym inside the apartment, which is also a fantastic exercising tool. I hope after the tiring college admission is over; I could have more free time to exercise and build my body shape.

11/28 Journal - Time Is Not Enough

Seriously, time is not enough for me right now. How come? The reason is that some college admissions are due this week, which already gave tons of pressures. In addition, I still need to deal with Christmas performance, which is coming in three weeks. I am the guitarist in the rock band, so I believe that I need double amount of time to practice in order to have a perfect performance. However, we have not even start to practice, because there are too many things we need to do during this period. Yet, I don’t want to give up this chance to perform on Christmas. Therefore, I will try to rearrange my time, and find some extra time for my guitar practicing.

11/27 Journal - College Admission Part II

Looking at the calendar, I noticed that it is already nearly the end of November. Time is clicking everyday, and it will not wait for me. Next week, colleges’ deadlines like Rutgers, University of California, and University of Washington are due. That’s means I need to finish their school application, envelopes, and admission essays, which are a huge amount of work for me. Nevertheless, the remaining time is not going to be use as complain. As a senior, Ms. Pamela always tells us that this is the process that we must go through. Otherwise, we will not be able to survive in college.

11/23 Journal - College Admission

What we have finished today is a huge step to the finish line of college admission. After lunchtime, Ms. Pamela wanted all the seniors to go to her office. She wanted every senior to finish his or her college admission envelopes by the end of today.  Therefore, many seniors working in front of soft area and Ms. Pamela’s office in order to finish their jobs. That is probably the first time that I saw my classmates working so hard to get the work done. In the end, I successfully finished my college admission envelopes, which is a heavy mission. So, I need to worry about my college essays and third SAT Reasoning test now.

11/22 Journal - AP Class

I’ve received a piece of news today in school. I don’t know should I call it a good news or bad news for me. Ms. Pamela told me that I couldn’t take one of my AP courses anymore. The reason is that my tests are keep failing. She said that it is too dangerous for to continue on that course. So, I decided to drop that course. Sounds like it is a bad news for me. However, I actually wanted to drop that course long time ago, because I guess I had a difficulty of understanding the concept of the textbook. Therefore, I guess I will have more time to work on college’s stuffs after I dropped this course.

11/21 Journal - Chocolate

Staying focus on studying is a difficult tasks some students. Indeed, I am not an exception. I usually stay up for preparing the test, which results me feeling tired and losing concentration in class. However, I found out recently that when I am feeling tired or about to lose my focus, eating chocolate is a way to help me get my attention back. I believe it is probably because there is sugar inside the chocolate. Therefore, when one eats some chocolate, one absorbs some sugar that makes one feels energetic. From now on, when I feeling tired or couldn’t concentrate on my work, I will drink a cup of hot chocolate or find some chocolate to stay focus.
